TELEVISION: Kimbo Slice gets his ass handed to him by light heavyweight Seth Petruzelli on national TV (10/04)

Elite XC suffered some big blows Saturday night.  First, the legendary Ken Shamrock suffered a cut above his eye, costing him his chance to fight Kimbo Slice.  One man’s loss was another man’s gain, as Seth Petruzelli stepped in and shocked the MMA world with his stunning 14 second TKO of Slice.  What’s embarassing is the fact that Elite XC tried to protect Slice by putting him in a fight with an aging Shamrock…

What’s even more worse was that they even tried to protect him more with a unknown fighter who weighed 25 pounds less than him…and he still got his ass handed to him.  They could have easily put Andrei Arlovski to fight Kimbo, but they knew that he would have chewed Kimbo Slice to pieces.  It didn’t matter because Seth Petruzelli took down the posterboy of Elite XC, which ultimately showed the weakness and poor planning of Elite XC.  They banked everything on Kimbo and for the future of the company, only to see him lose to a light heavyweight in convincing fashion.
